Stephen was in the grey zone. His abilities were too low for some programs and too high for others. We continued to search for his purpose. Then, our prayers were answered!!!

Brookwood opened its doors to our Super Guy, and the path for his future quickly started taking shape.  

 Stephen LOVES going to work every day creating with clay, paper, and other mediums. He gets to work with compassionate and talented bosses and beloved co-workers. The feelings of belonging & community give Stephen beautiful reasons to hop out of bed in the morning. No more grey zone! He looks forward to doing his job, his very own zone of genius.

This kind of community cannot run on love alone. ‘I Believe in Brookwood’ is a yearly fundraiser here to help keep the organization viable for its citizens. We need to know that it will be here for many years to come. As parents, we realize there will come a day when we will no longer be able to physically take care of all his needs. Our hopes and prayers are that Brookwood will still be the amazing place it is now, and Stephen, along with other citizens, will be able to live in this caring community.
