The Hirshmans ask for your support for Brookwood because Brookwood is a blessing to our family!
Friends, Steven has been working at The Brookwood Community for 18 years. He has worked in the horticulture area, ceramics, cement and at the Café while there. Each one has been a great experience for him learning new skills and meeting new friends. Steven is very proud of what he does and loves to talk about the different areas of work. Since starting at Brookwood, Steven has grown in confidence and is more comfortable in interactions with friends, family and meeting new people. The program allows people with intellectual and physical disabilities to work and lead productive lives that add to their community and their self-worth.
The Brookwood Community is funded through donations and fundraising; it is a non-profit residential community and does not accept any government funding. We are asking for your support for special needs adults, who are known as Citizens at Brookwood. Your donation to The Brookwood Community supports the 200+ Citizens who count on Brookwood as their place to work and live. All contributions are tax deductible.
