The Whitten Family definitely “Believes in Brookwood!”
Thomas loves working at Brookwood! He has been in their work program for 8 years and still is excited when his “work shirt” is laid out on his work day mornings. He works in the greenhouses, mainly moving plants, which is a task he can do successfully and quickly. He is a hustler! Our long-term plans for Thomas include moving him into the residential living program at Brookwood sometime in his 30’s. We know Brookwood is the right place for him and that his life there will be fulfilling and joyful.
We feel very fortunate that Brookwood is there for Thomas and our family.
The “I Believe in Brookwood” fundraiser helps Brookwood provide an educational environment that creates meaningful work, builds a sense of belonging, and awakens genuine purpose for adults with disabilities.
