Brookwood is such a blessing to our family, families with special needs children and siblings, and to the Houston community.  Without Brookwood, Paul, and many like him, would not have a place to work, a sense of purpose, or a community in which to participate.  We are thankful for Yvonne Streit’s vision (created from a need in providing for Vickie), and filling such a void in the Houston area.  Briarwood School provided education, and Brookwood has provided a life community.  Brookwood provides a safe place for Paul to thrive and be in community with others.  The encouraging and nurturing staff gives Paul opportunities to develop his full potential.
